Dr. Zhongshuo CHEN is an Assistant Professor at the School of Intelligent Finance and Business, Entrepreneur College, Xi’an-Jiaotong-Liverpool University. He obtained his Bachelor of Management degree in Logistics Management from Dalian Maritime University, and Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Maritime Studies from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Prior to joining XJTLU, he worked as a Senior Consultant at Maritime Advisory SEAPI of DNV.

Dr. Chen’s research interests include maritime decarbonisation, sustainable shipping, alternative marine fuels, life cycle assessment, ship emission estimation, machine learning applications, etc. His papers were published in top-tier transportation and engineering journals, such as Transportation Research Part D: Transport and Environment, Ocean Engineering, Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, etc.
