Dr. Bong-Hwan Oh is currently a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the School of Internet of Things, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. He received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and electronic engineering from Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea, in 2009, 2011, and 2016, respectively.He worked as a research fellow at the 5G Innovation Centre (5GIC), Institute for Communication Systems, University of Surrey, UK, from 2016 to 2019. He took charge of the networking part to enable the deployment of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) based transport network in the 5G testbed system constructed with various industry partners (Huawei, Vodafone, etc.).
From 2019 to 2020, he joined as a senior researcher in the Agency for Defense Development (ADD) which is the only research institute for military technologies in South Korea and developed an advanced satellite system for military communications.
His research interests include SDN/P4, IoT networks, In-network computing, 5/6G, transport layer protocols, and satellite communications.
